List all poker sites .com Recommends Mansion Poker. Mansion gives you a 100% deposit bonus, up to a total of $500 on your first deposit. Earning your deposit couldn’t be easier; in fact Mansion has one of the better systems in place to allow players to easily reach their full deposit match.
The basic system is the same as the majority of other poker sites. You’ll earn points, dubbed MPP’s , which get awarded for every money game you play, based on the total rake amount of each hand. Tournaments are slightly different, awarding points based on the buy-in amount, which both prevents weaker or unlucky players from getting little bonus from those tournaments, and also prevents strong players from reaching their match off a single tournament entry.
The points needed for converting to cash is much more generous than many sites. Typical sites have a setup where each bonus point earned is worth the equivalent of about $0.06, whereas Mansion’s setup awards slightly more than double that. This is further amplified by the fact that points are awarded for every $0.10 rake increase, while many base it on the dollar. Whereas it can be occasionally difficult earning points through other sites if you aren’t playing with a good number of players or at a higher money table, Mansion lets you earn points no matter what table you plop down at, and how many others join you. Tournaments also award a hefty amount, coming in at about the $0.60 range for every tournament dollar spent, a significant upgrade over many sites.
In addition to the aforementioned MPP’s, there are also the newly introduced VPP’s, which can be used to purchase Mansion-branded items and other goodies in their new loyalty shop. VPP’s are earned very similarly to MPP’s, though the amount and distribution of points is slightly different. You also receive a nice little bonus boost to your VPP total at the end of each month depending on the level of points earned during the last month. This boost can reward you with up to 20% more points for the past month’s efforts. Also depending on the level reached during the last month, you’ll be able to enter a VPP Loyalty freeroll tournament, with cash prizes increasing for each level.
Now that you’re tantalized, you may be wondering just who Mansion Poker is. They were formed in 2005, and quickly gained a reputation as one of the strongest standalone poker operations out there. They also operated a casino and sportsbook, all under one brand. Recently they made the switch to the Ongame network, which includes other major poker sites like bwin.com and bet24. Though their software made the switch to a somewhat more uniform look and feel than before, the traffic rose dramatically, and with it came increased promotions and tournaments.
Mansion offers the usual array of game and table types, coming loaded with Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, and Five Card Stud. All game types can be played in full-ring, shorthanded, or head to head matchups. Traffic volumes are high, with nice representation across all games, quite important if Texas Hold’em isn’t your preferred game.
There is a nice variety of weekly and monthly tournaments and promotions running at all times. These include guaranteeds, a beat the pros system (whereby if you knock any of their featured pros out of a tournament, you earn a $200 bonus, paid instantly), and plenty of qualifiers to live events, where you can bust out your shades and compete live and in the flesh against hardened poker vets.
The software is clean and attractive for the most part, though we found the lobby background colors to be somewhat unappealing. The software is dynamic in all other respects, allowing for full options of player tracking and note taking, game history, all-in history, and other functions related to the software such as turning the sound on or off. Histories can also be downloaded and looked through as separate files.
The avatars have a pleasant design, and can also be turned off in the software. One small limitation in the software is the inability to play more than 4 games at a time, and no option to manually resize the game window. These shouldn’t be issues for casual players, but may disappoint you multi-tasking poker behemoths.
The software is available as a download only, and is reported to be quite taxing on lesser systems. If you’re running an older system, and especially if playing multiple tables at once, you’ll probably want to minimize your system resource usage as much as possible. In all other respects the software holds up well, even with multiple applications running, as long as you have the system to handle it.
Mansion Poker has some dynamite freerolls and a new loyalty rewards program, making them even more attractive than ever. With their deposit bonus system standing as one of the best in the business, a nice volume of traffic and some great weekly and monthly guaranteed tournaments, you really can’t go wrong with a trip to the Mansion. Mansion Poker is, unfortunately, not accepting players from the U.S.A right now, as is sadly the case with many gambling sites.
